Anita Synnestvedt, Department of Historical Studies, Faculty of Arts. E-mail

Anita gained her PhD in 2008. Since then Anita have been working as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of historical studies and at the Department of pedagogy at the University of Gothenburg. She has been teaching ground courses in archaeology and at the PIL unit she is a lecturer in different courses in teaching and learning in higher education. Anitas main interests are the construction and use of cultural heritage, and the relationship between heritage management and the public. Pedagogy and art and archaeology is also of great interest and her dissertation is related to all of these topics.

Monica work as a developer at Västarvet, a regional administration of natural and cultural heritage in Region Västra Götaland. Our task is to provide support and contribute to the development and processes regarding a sustainable society, with focus on the natural and cultural heritage.

In her contacts with municipalities, municipal associations, museums and associations in various projects, Monica establish contacts between parties so they could benefit from each other's experiences in matters relating to cultural heritage. In recent years, her focus has been on the cultural heritage linked to identity, democracy and human rights.
